Vineeta Singh is an Indian entrepreneur who works for Sugar Cosmetics Corp. She is the CEO and founder of Sugar Cosmetics Corp., and a Shark Tank judge for Sony Entertainment Television’s reality show Shark Tank India. With more than 35,000 products sold worldwide, its beauty line is available in more than 130 countries.
Her family has been in the jewelry business for more than three generations. Vineeta’s grandfather started a small laboratory to produce natural dyes for making festive displays in the late 1920s. The business was transferred to Vineeta’s grandfather, who developed it into a local company and the products were sold in Asia.
When Vineeta’s father took over the company, She turned it into a global powerhouse with products sold in more than 50 countries.
Vineeta Singh was born in Gujarat. She studied in Delhi. Later, She studied well and got into IIT. She then enrolled in MBA. After She finished, various companies offered him opportunities, but She refused to start his own. Then She moved to Mumbai in a small house. She started a failed business.
She ran to get away in times of trouble, and She gave him peace of mind. Then, She also ran a marathon. She has participated in about 20 marathons and a few triathlons. Then She tried again with another brand called “FAB BAG”, a beautiful subscription brand. During research, She discovered the need for authentic Indian cosmetics, and then “SUGAR” was born.
Vineeta Singh was born in Delhi to Tej Singh, who worked as a scientist at the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. His mother has a doctorate. started. She is married to Kaushik Mukherjee, her college classmate, and has two sons named Vikrant Mukherjee and Ranveer Mukherjee.
Vineeta holds the titles of Electrical Engineering and Master of Business Administration, both of which are highly regarded. Her academic achievements are enough to earn him a position in some of the best companies in the country, if not the world. To everyone’s surprise, She turned down the $1 million investment the company offers every year. She refused the job because She was determined to start his own business.
In April 2007, She founded Quetzal Online Private Limited, a recruitment firm in Mumbai, after completing his MBA, along with another IIM student. She joined as a director in Quetzal. The company offered HT services for recruitment and pre-employment background checks. He worked there for about five years. When the business failed to grow, Vineeta chose to pursue her passion for fashion.
Vineeta created FabBag in April 2012, which allows users to discover 3-4 top global products every month. The business was not successful in its early stages and never took off.
Over the years, the brand has become valuable and now has more than 50 brands worldwide that are associated with the Fab Bag.
After quitting two previous businesses and quitting her full-time job at an investment bank in different countries, Vineeta Singh founded Sugar Cosmetics. She is right. She wants to do things for himself instead of doing things for others. Singh’s third business was founded by her husband, Kaushik Mukherjee.
Global cosmetics companies like Lakmé, L’Oréal and MAC cosmetics dominate the Indian market. Then, in 2012, SUGAR launched, churning out several domestic and international beauty brands to become the fastest growing beauty brand in India. Sugar Cosmetics has become India’s fastest growing cosmetic brand in just five years. The company has more than 2500 brands in 130 cities and generates more than 100 crores in sales.
