When King Sgar heard this, he sent sixty thousand of his sons to look for horses.

In search of the horse of Ashvamedha, all the sons of King Sagar came to the hermitage of Kapil Muni, they found that Kapil, the king of horses, who remained in worship of the Ashvamedha yagna, was still alone in the hermitage. of Kapil Muni. All this the sons of King Sagar accused Kapil of stealing the horse from Kapil muni. After the false accusation he took, Kapil got very angry and burned the royals with the curse of his power.

When King Sagar heard what happened, he immediately ran to Kapil Muni’s hermitage. When he reached the nursing home, King Sagar asked Kapil to give life to his sons of Muni, but he did not get any benefit from it. After many requests, Kapil Muni said: This Rajan is the only way for all your children to bring Mother Ganga to heaven. Hearing this, Anshuman, the grandson of King Sagar, vowed that Mother Mokshakini would not bring Ganges to earth, and that no king of her dynasty would sit in peace.

To subdue Ganga, Prince Anshuman did a severe penance, but after Prince Anshuman’s death, King Sagar (Bhagirath) had to undergo severe punishment. King sagar (Bhagirath) made mother Ganga happy. But mother Ganga runs very fast. If mother Ganga comes down to earth from her speed, then the whole world will be destroyed. King Bhagirath impressed Lord Shiva to stop Ganga’s flow and asked for help to stop Lord Shiva’s Ganga’s flow. Bhagirath was pleased, Lord Shiva got Ganga from its root, velvety Ganga reduced and sent Ganga to the whole world.

Because of the arrest of Ganga at its root, Lord Shiva named Gangadhar. When Raja Bhagirath brought mother Ganga to Kapil Muni’s office, Kapil Muni gave salvation to all the 60,000 sons of the king. It is believed that on the day 60,000 children of King Sagar got salvation, that day Makar is the festival of Sankranti.

In the morning of , during the auspicious celebration of Makar Sankranti festival. After that, bring the water in abundance, pour red flowers on it, pour the ax into the sun, give it to the sun.
