Who is Devon Conway
Devon Conway is a South African New Zealand cricketer who plays for the New Zealand cricket team. Devon started his cricket journey at the age of 18 and was playing for the St Johns College cricket team in Johannesburg. In May 2020, he was offered a New Zealand Cricket contract ahead of the 2020–21 season.
Devon Conway Early Life and Education
Cricket was Devon Conway’s first sport, which he started at the age of twelve. He started playing cricket when he was a student at St. Johns College in the Transvaal. He appeared in many games for his college team, contributing to their victories. In 2009, he graduated from college and was recruited by the Gauteng Cricket team. He spent a lot of time playing for Gauteng and did well for his national team.
Devon Conway’s Domestic Carrer
Devon Conway began his domestic career in South Africa. Devon Conway is part of the Gauteng national team and was selected in the squad for the Africa Cup of Nations T20 in 2015. He scored 53 points in 3 games during the tournament.
Devon Conway decided to move to New Zealand when he was only 26 years old. In 2018, Devon Conway started playing for Wellington and was selected in the squad for the 2018-19 Plunket Shield season.

Devon Conway T20 Career
As soon as Devon Conway was ruled out to play for New Zealand in August 2020, Conway was selected in the New Zealand Team against West Indies and was selected in the New Zealand team for the T20I series against the West Indies.
Devon Conway made his international debut on November 27, 2020 in a T20I match against West Indies. A few days later, he was also included in the test squad, but he had no chance to appear in the match-11.
Devon Conway ODI Career
On March 20, 2021, Devon Conway made his ODI debut against Bangladesh. Conway hit a century in the third game of his career.
Devon Conway’s Career Test
Devon Conway made his Test debut on June 2, 2021 against England. Devon Conway scored a century on debut and became the 12th batsman to achieve the feat.
Devon Conway is also the second player to score a century on his Lord’s debut. Conway scored two centuries in the match, the highest tally by a batsman on his England debut.
Devon Conway was selected in the New Zealand squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup but was ruled out of the final after suffering an injury. He played the 5th match of test career against Bangladesh, before that he scored two centuries and two half centuries in 4 test matches.
He scored his third Test century in the opening leg of the Christchurch Test against Bangladesh. Conway has a historic 200 runs in the first test match. After that he scored 80 runs in the Edgbaston Test.
